The Price of Rice

Developing nations should not see biofuels as a curse but as an option. There is always a trade off. We can try to (in fact we should) promote both biofuels and increased productivity in agriculture. When the price of oil zooms to $100 and above per barrel that affects countries like India badly and results in inflation. Yety no opposition party or Congress
protests against OPEC. Biofuels cannot be avoided as substitutes to oil they are cheaper and in the long run will reduce the dependence on imported oil.As biofiels are renewables and can be used to generate employment and use degraded/wastelands we cannot afford t0 ignore them. Yes there are issues that need to be resolved but let us not start thinking that biofuels are bad for us. The real problem lies elsewhere- with OPEC and the addiction to oil.

ஹைட்ரஜன், பேட்டரி போன்ற எரிசக்தி சாத்தியக்கூறு இருக்கும்போது, அவற்றை முழுமையாக போஷிக்காமல், bio-fuel என்று ப்ரெசில் மாதிரி எல்லோரும் அதன் பின்னாடி செல்வது உறுத்துகிறது.
